It’s Hiccup

Now when you own a pet there are always various tasks that you have to be willing to commit to in order to help your pet live a safe, healthy and long life. Hedgehogs are no different then any other animal you have to feed, water, clean up, play and with many animals also bath them. Now Hiccup from what Joanna has told me is not a one of those animals which loves to take a bath as you can see from this video.

Well today I decided to try my luck with this little venture. Instead of using a tupperware container as the bath, partially because we don’t have one and the other part being that even if we did Josh and Meg would most likely kill me if I used it. This lead me to using the bathroom sink which provided what turned out to be one of the best places to give Hiccup his bath. The sides are smooth and ceramic so no matter how much the little guy tried to run out of the bath he just couldn’t climb out the sides of the sink and just kept slipping into the water. After about five minutes of failed escape attempts Hiccup finally gave in and started to explore the his tiny area filled with warm water. When he saw that there wasn’t too much that he could do he stayed still and stopped putting up a fight letting me scoop water on him and clean him off. His favorite part of this entire experience seemed to be the towel and drying off. Hiccup just curled up inside of it and tried to go to sleep.
